The Campus Card

The campus card is a multi-function card including a photo of the cardholder. If you study or work at the university, you must have a campus card. The card gives you access to Campus Gotland when the premises are closed (opening hours) as well as to enter the computer room or to use our printers.

Students who participate in distance learning courses and spend only a few days on the University premises, do not need a campus card. If you belong to one of these categories you can ignore the campus card request e-mails.

If you are new at Uppsala University

As a new student you need to have a current course registration to obtain a campus card. You also need to activate your user account beforehand, to be able to receive the e-mail containing campus card instructions.

Information on how to activate your user account can be found here. The instruction message is usually sent out 24 hours after the activation, but sometimes it can be a delayed a further day.

How do I obtain a campus card?

Instructions on how to obtain your campus card will be sent to the e-mail address registered to you in our student register Ladok. If you are a student and have activated forwarding the message should be at the forwarded e-mail address. The instructions are also included in the reminder sent to those who have not collected their campus cards.

How do I collect my campus card?

Once you have ordered the card according to the instructions, you will be notified via e-mail when your card is available for pickup at the reception on Campus Gotland. When you collect the campus card you will need to show an approved identification (driver's licence, passport etc). Please make sure you have a current registration before attempting to collect your campus card.
