The Almedalen Library – part of Uppsala University Library
The Almedalen Library is part of Uppsala University Library, meaning that, as a student, teacher or researcher, you have access to a wide range of e-resources such as e-books, e-journals with scientific articles in full text and other tools to facilitate your studies and academic writing at all levels.
The Almedalen Library is Sweden’s only integrated public and university library, something that makes the library a natural and unique forum for meetings between students and Gotland’s cultural life.
As a student, in addition to the usual services offered by the University Library you can also find fiction, DVDs, computer games and music CDs at the library. The library also arranges a wide-ranging programme of author’s readings, lectures and musical events.
You can find further information about the Almedalen Library on its website.
Group study rooms in the library

The library has also bookable group study rooms. You can book E32, E34, E36 and E37 via the University’s scheduling system, TimeEdit. Learn more about booking group study rooms/classrooms at Campus Gotland.
In addition to the group study rooms, the library also has a number of reading areas and a quiet reading room.
Computers and wireless networks
The library has around a dozen bookable computers that you can log on to using your library card or personal identity number plus a PIN code. These computers are not connected to the University’s eduPrint printing system (see below).
The library uses the same wireless network for your own laptop, tablet or mobile phone as the rest of the University, i.e. eduroam. Learn more about eduroam and how to set it up.
Photocopying, printing and scanning
The Almedalen Library uses the university-wide eduPrint system for printing and photocopying. There are two eduPrint printers in the library. Learn more about eduPrint and printing at the University.
