International Opportunities via Uppsala University

Discover the world!
Studies and internships abroad can become part of your education at Uppsala University! Contact us if you have any questions!
Do you want to gain international experience and new perspectives? Do you want to sharpen your language skills and your cultural competence? There are several opportunities and you should inform yourself about them to find out what could suit you best. Exchange studies, and grants for internships, field studies and blended mobility courses, are options you can apply for via the Unit for International Mobility. Start here:
- International opportunities home page for students,
- Erasmus+ grants for studies, internships and data collection abroad,
- Information sessions are offered online during semesters, in step with upcoming applications,
- Opportunities for studies abroad via some departments and faculties.
Sign up for our newsletter with inspiration and reminders about upcoming calls for applications and information sessions. We send 3-4 newsletters each semester.
Department and subject-linked exchanges

Many of our departments have their own exchange agreements, which are administered in different ways. Department and subject-linked exchange programmes are always tied to studies at a certain department or within a certain subject area. See what department you belong to so you can turn to them for information about whether they have places you can apply for. Here you can find links to information about study abroad administered by departments and faculties.

You can meet with one of our International Officers to discuss your inquiries regarding studies or traineeships abroad. To reach our drop-in via Zoom, use the drop-in link
- Tuesdays at 11:00-12:00
- Thursdays at 13:00-14:00
Please note that drop-in will not be available on public holidays and during breaks in connection with Christmas, New Year, Easter, and summer vacations.
We offer extra drop-in sessions a few of the days before the closing of the application for exchange studies: Friday 10 November and Wednesday 15 November at 13:00-14:00.
All drop-in hours are run via Zoom. Please log in using your student account (read about Zoom for students). When you enter the Zoom meeting you will be placed in the waiting room until it is your turn. In the meeting you may use audio and video if you like but may also use the chat function.
