Most university departments operating in Visby are involved in collaboration. Especially within education but also in research and societal development. On this page, we highlight some of the activities.
Region Gotland + Uppsala University

Region Gotland and Uppsala University have signed an agreement on a long term partnership for knowledge exchange.
The aim is to strengthen the research and innovation environment and ensure that Gotland is an attractive academic and development destination.

Science Park Gotland

Are you engaged in innovation and entrepreneurship or having a business idea? Welcome to Science Park Gotland (SPG), a business incubator with the aim to support sustainable growth on the island. Science Park Gotland offers programmes for start ups and developers and a platform for meetings between stakeholders from different sectors, including technology- and game industry, and e-commerce.
Science Park Gotland operates in close collaboration with Uppsala University - Campus Gotland and is located on ground floor in the Betty Pettersson building. Read more about Science Park Gotland.
Blue Centre Gotland

Blue Centre Gotland (BCG) is a collaboration between Uppsala University, the County Administrative Board of Gotland and Region Gotland on development issues related to water – on land, along coasts and at sea.
Grass Fellow

Baltic Art Center (BAC) and Uppsala University Graduate School in Sustainability Studies (GRASS) have jointly launched The GRASS Fellow programme – Sweden’s first artistic visiting fellow programme in an academic setting.
The Bergman Estate on Fårö Foundation
Uppsala University collaborates with the the Bergman Estate on Fårö Foundation.
The foundation manages Ingmar Bergman's premises on the island of Fårö and aims to create a sustainable and low-key environment for artists and researchers whose work is characterised by high quality in the spirit of Ingmar Bergman. The collaboration between the foundation and the university is an important part of this work.
Currently, researchers are given the opportunity to live and work at Bergmangårdarna for one to two weeks. More information about the collaboration and how to make an application can be obtained via the email address bergmanstay@uu.se.

Campus Gotland and Gotland's student union Rindi, in collaboration with GotlandsMusiken, offer joint choir and orchestra activities for students and staff.
Collaboration in Gotland

The University operates at the heart of the society to which it belongs. In both education and research, contacts and interaction with other actors in society are crucial.
Through Campus Gotland, the University wants an important role in the regional development. Among other things, it is about developing the interaction with Gotland society. This coincides with the University's mission, goals and strategies for Campus Gotland.
