Workshop on Agenda 2030 for students, teachers and researchers at Campus Gotland
22 November 2018
SWEDESD will facilitate a two-day workshop on Agenda 2030 for students, teachers and researchers at the Sustainable Destination Development Master Program at Campus Gotland. The activity is part of the newly established Learning Lab for Sustainable Development.
The Education for Sustainable Development “ESD” Learning Lab is run by SWEDESD to strengthen the learning and research environment on Campus Gotland. Within the Lab, a two-day workshop will set off on 6-7 December 2018. The first day will be focused on research in relation to Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals, while the second day will open up for collaborative exploration between students, teachers, and researchers of destination development.
Participants will be engaged in experimental and creative learning to work with the complex challenges as described in the Sustainable Development Goals, for example, using futures narratives to critically reflect on pathways in working for sustainable destination development.
- We are also curious to explore how working in different spaces outside the university play a role in learning processes, which is why this workshop will be held off-campus, says Sanna Barrineau, project coordinator and facilitator at SWEDESD.
The workshop is the second activity within the ESD Learning Lab, following a sustainability field trip for international students in September 2018. In 2019, a semester-long course on Education for Sustainable Development will be available for all teaching staff at Campus Gotland.
